Remote learning app collecting and selling children’s data

The remote learning app has been found to be collecting and selling children’s data. In the report published by Human Rights Watch, it was discovered that many apps and services collect and sell children’s data.

In a survey conducted in a total of 49 countries, it was found that 146 out of 164 edtechs collected data and sold it.

These companies had hidden tracking technology, so that the technology can easily track young users.

The report also shows that the data is continuously sold to third party companies. 146 edtech companies were found to be sending data to 196 third party companies.
