Scammers have been found stealing videos from tickets and posting them on adult dating sites. Content creators of YouTube shorts have been found to be abusing tick videos and using them for immoral activities.
According to Satnam Narang, an investigator at Tinable, the 40,000 videos received 3.2 billion views when the stolen videos were posted on YouTube shorts. The trend of stealing videos from other apps and posting them to be successful is on the rise.
Such videos are also being misused to promote their goods and services. Scammers steal videos and post them on shorts or other platforms, with embedded links to adult dating sites, allowing users to access adult dating sites while watching videos. Weight loss products are also advertised in such videos.
