Apple’s digital student ID will be available for some schools in Canada and the United States. As schools prepare to reopen, Apple is working to make IDs out of touch.
The software was first rolled out in 2018 and has been modified to make it available in Canada.
In 2021, the University of New Brunswick and Seridan College in Toronto will allow students to add their ID cards to Apple Wallet. Using an iPhone and an Apple Watch can be used to pay for food and other benefits on campus.
The software will be used by the University of Urban in the United States, the University of Northern Arizona, the University of Maine and the State University of Mexico. The company also said that students have been using Apple Wallet more since April.
